Who is altair in assassins creed

His wisdom and leadership would prove instrumental in ensuring the continuation of the Assassin Order. Trained extensively, he was able to overcome any obstacle, human or terrain, climb the tallest towers and leap from the highest ledges without a hint of fear. His noncombat skills included climbing, urban acrobatics, eavesdropping, interrogation, and pickpocketing. He also had extensive knowledge of Holy Land politics and religion, which helped him better understand his opponents.

In it he drew blueprints for Hidden Blade modifications, manuals for assassination techniques, maps, and even a detailed sketch of his wife, Maria, bordered with hand-drawn flowers. His arsenal was comprised of a longsword , a short blade , throwing knives, and the illusory iconic Hidden Blade. However, these acts brought him no joy or satisfaction, and he was left heavily scarred by her memory.

He wrote in his Codex that he felt he would never have the same feelings for any other woman; however, the love he later felt for Maria Thorpe proved him wrong.

However, over the course of their journey together they fostered a mutual respect, particularly after Maria learned the truth of the Templar cause. Assassin's Creed Wiki Explore. Unity Syndicate. You are but a puppet. As Altair grew older, he sought to change the system that raised him. He set out to establish Assassin Guilds in other places, bringing him one step closer to creating an Order that lived amongst the people, protecting them from the Templar Order no matter where they reared their heads. Though he couldn't fulfill this vision in his lifetime, he served as the spark that led to the Assassin Order touching every continent by Connor's time.

Given the fact that Ezio lived in a world that was more connected than Altair's, due to new developments in sailing technology, he was able to touch more nations besides Italy and the neighboring European countries. Most notably, he served as a mentor to the last remaining Assassin of the Chinese Brotherhood, Shao Jun, in her quest to not only restore her defunct order, but crush the Templars before they got the chance to cause more destruction across China.

While Assassins have used just about anything they can get their hands on as a weapon, their signature tool of choice is the Hidden Blade, which enables them to make swift kills without drawing too much attention to themselves. Originally, the Hidden Blade required an Assassin to surrender their ring finger to compensate for the blade's extension, but Altair redesigned it, ensuring that the Assassin Order tradition of nine-fingered Assassins would be a thing of the past.

Ezio, on the other hand, puts Altair's appearances to shame. Not only this, but he makes a guest appearance in Soulcalibur V , and even is the main character of the film Assassin's Creed: Embers , which revolves around Ezio's last days in retirement. Even near his death, he helped give solid advice to Shao Jun and through training her, she was able to liberate her country from Templar rule.

Despite losing his wife and son, he lived hard to ensure that the legacy of the Assassin order still remained firm and strong. He made sure to maintain wisdom and faith in the order while maintaining something for the future. Although Altair himself wasn't the first Assassin character, he did lay the groundworks for the Assassin's moving forward and through his memories, was able to help Desmond Miles.

Making him by far, one of the most important characters in not just the series release, but in the lore as well. However, unlike his great predecessor, Ezio Auditore went out in a much different way. Desiring for a life away from the Assassin lifestyle, he eventually settled down and married Sofia Sartor. Together, they had a family and lived in the countryside of Tuscany. Seemingly away from the dangerous life that shaped the character.

After helping out Shao Jun, he was able to pass away peacefully just across from where his family died all those years ago. This not only cemented the character as one of the most important people in the series, but it also established him as one of the greatest video game characters ever created.

For Tamir, it was supplying weapons, for Naplouse it was dangerous medical practices, and for the next in line, Talal, it was slave trading. He was responsible for capturing Jerusalem's citizens, selling them into slavery, and sending a fair amount of men, women, and even children to Garnier de Naplouse to be used in his experiments.

After poisoning an entire party of people, Nuqoud is hunted down by the assassin and eventually killed. He justifies his role in the Templars, claiming that his only desire is to create a new and better world.

Willaim of Montferrat was yet another cog in the machine of the Templar Order. William's responsibilities were mainly militaristic, training soldiers that were actually brainwashed slaves. His Abu'l Nuqoud-funded work, training those that were supplied to him from Talal and Garnier de Naplouse with weapons supplied by Tamir, began to show just how interconnected the Templars plan was. It also made clear why Al Mualim had ordered their assassinations.

William's assassination isn't exactly difficult, but it requires taking out a good number of his soldiers before the opportunity to kill him arises.
