I have 55 gallon with only the Angel, 1 gourami, and 1 cory You can add some more for sure most of the fish you have should be in schooled..
I would love to add that certain species generally do well each fish has their own personality making each interaction different. This means that some unlikely fish can be put together or fish that should be able to be with each other are absolutely awful together.
At the end of the day the best thing you can do is monitor your fish. If they are clearly stressing each other out and nothing is fixing the aggression you may want to think about moving one of them somewhere else. I honestly hope it doesn't come to that and that the fish can live happily together as both are beautiful fish and together would make any tank stunning!

Replies 8 Views May 23, ArthurTheAquarist. They are beautiful, very active and peaceful fish. They will accept similar food as angelfish and they need similar water parameters. Rosy tetras do best if are kept in groups of at least 6, but you can add more if you aquarium is big enough.
A single male or female would be just fine. Most Angels are just fine with other species as long as the other fish stay out of their breeding area. A single Angel will not have a breeding area, so that is OK. The fish you list are large enough not to get eaten. The only way to keep 2 or more male angelfish together is to place in them a very large tank.
A big tank allows each male a space or territory to call his own. Angelfish usually keep dying due to inadequate water conditions, including pH, hardness, lack of oxygen, and temperature. However, new angelfish may die in your tank even if the water parameters are correct. Yes, angelfish do recognize their owners and can remember a human face for months or years.
Not only that, but angelfish also develop a bond with their people. Be sure to use a good water conditioner, and get the replacement water close to the temperature of the original aquarium water. Netting the angelfish and confining him to a small area could be stressful. Plant it in the back and along the sides of the aquarium to make a great background for the other plants.
Yes, angelfish do get lonely and even depressed. Scientists have previously shown that fish react negatively to a lack of stimuli. Therefore, if your angelfish has no companions and prefers swimming at the bottom, it may indicate it is lonely. This is a typical behavior they display when they pair off with a mate. They get along great occassionaly the angelfish will chase them away if they get too close to them. Ethos Fish Aficionado. Well I would so love to have some pearl gouramis in with my angelfish!!!
That would be like freaking awsome! Where'd you hear that? I have a Blue Paradise and a Dwarf Flame in my tank and they don't bother my angels. Lisecw New Member. My tank is litres so there is probably enough room for them all. Regards, Lisecw. Gill Store Manager Coalville Aquatics. It was Hilarious to watch these little Bleeders chase the angels - I moved the sparklers into a Fighters tank to clam them down for a while.
They can be aggressive, but also vary greatly in temperament. Despite their size. I have aggressive one who lives with the tetras now and the other who got mercilessly beaten on by him living with my female bettas. And he's treated as one of them. Joined Aug 7, Messages Reaction score 0. There is no sign of aggression at all. In fact, I was having some trouble with my angel hiding all the time as most of my white clouds have died off due to old age want hardy fish, my white clouds I bought 6 of them 5 years ago and now I have 2 left, great fish.
Since the gouramis were put in the three of them all swim together and it is quite a beautiful site. The colors and all are really nice. I must say I was a bit nervous as I thought the angel would be aggressive with them but I am pleasantly surprised Typically ought to add, the angel does occassionally get caught in the middle of one the gouramies little tiffs simply because it doesn't get out of the way fast enough. It isn't directed at the angel at all, more a case of just happening to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and gouramies can really move fast.
